As I sit here in the office of my husband's shop enjoying the sounds of smooth jazz on the Echo, I marvel at all God has done since I sent my book to the publisher in March of 2025. James' small engine business has taken off to the point we now have two part time helpers, and we are swamped with customers requiring our help to get their mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, leaf blowers, tillers and more up and running. I no longer work at the church due to God putting another business opportunity in front of us in November of 2025. I have my own business now, SOJO Land Management Services LLC DBA Land Man. I struggle some days as my husband gets a little overwhelmed and I am the one who gets to hear it all. True confession, don't tell him, but I sometimes celebrate God's decision to not make us be married in Heaven to our spouse from earth. I love my husband, but these past couple months have been very trying. I will tell you more next time. :) Quickbooks is calling my name. I never knew bookkeeping was in my future, but here I am killing it!
5/2/2026 Today I am manning the shop as my husband goes out to work with the skid steer for my company. What I said about my husband has changed. God touched his heart and showed him last Saturday how hard I am truly working when I mow, and having him mow with me was the best thing. He actually complimented me and said I was a hard worker. DUH! LOL! I am currently looking at a company that will take this website and make it into something more people will actually see and know about. Once the contract meets the requirements of my legal team I will pay them and get started. I am excited to be able to print and sell my own books without paying Amazon a mint to do it for me. I will post on FB about it once I get it all set up. I am excited, but at the same time wondering how God will find the time for me to blog and speak at engagements. But once I start bringing in some income maybe I can hire some mowing help and be free to move about the country encouraging others with their walk with Christ. I know that is my purpose, and God is handling the details. Faith, faith is all it takes. I had the faith to write the book and put all my secrets from my past out there for others to read. God told me he would not bring me shame and so far he has not. Everyone that has read my book has found something they could relate to, and that makes me so happy. Even my pastor is reading it and one day he said to me, "Your book made me laugh out loud." I knew how far he had gotten in the book, and I asked him if it was when I was a Gospel band groupie and he said yes. LOL! You'll have to read it to find out. Have a blessed Saturday.
